Oigawa Railway's “Thomas the Tank Engine”

Oigawa Railway's “Thomas the Tank Engine” is a steam locomotive in the shape of Thomas from the animated TV series. It operates for a limited time each year.

Lunch at Kawane Onsen Hotel

We offer approximately 80 menu items in a buffet-style service.
Enjoy an elegant lunch time while gazing at the majestic flow of the Oigawa River.

ASHIKUBO TEAWORKS

ASHIKUBO TEAWORKS is a tea factory and its operating body, an agricultural cooperative, jointly established by tea farmers in Ashikubo, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City. About 50 tea farmers have gathered together to produce, process, and sell safe and delicious Ashikubo tea, and to promote the local tea culture.

NASUNOHANA MUAN Japanese Restaurant

NASUNOHANA MUAN is a Japanese restaurant located in the downtown of Shizuoka. It serves authentic Japanese cuisine using seasonal Suruga ingredients and features a relaxed, modern Japanese atmosphere.

Takumi-Shuku

Takumi-Shuku is a facility where visitors can experience traditional Shizuoka crafts. This is an experience where you polish the surface of chopsticks layered with lacquer using a whetstone to create patterns, and then polish them to add shine.

The large observation sluice “Biuo”

The large observation sluice “Biuo” is a gigantic structure towering high on Numazu Port. It was completed in 2004 as part of the tsunami countermeasures against the Tokai Earthquake. The 40-meter wide, 9.3-meter high, 406-ton sluice gate, which shuts out tsunamis, is one of the largest in Japan, and is also the largest in the world.

The Chidori Numazu Port Cruise

The Chidori Numazu Port Cruise is a sightseeing cruise around Numazu Port operated by Chidori Kanko Kisen in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Fuji, Suruga Bay, and the coastline of Numazu can be viewed from the sea.

Numazu Port Deep Sea Aquarium

Numazu Port Deep Sea Aquarium is located in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is dedicated to deep-sea life. It is the first aquarium in the world to specialize in exhibiting deep-sea fish, and is especially known for its frozen specimens of coelacanths. Visitors can observe a variety of deep-sea creatures, especially those living in the deep waters of Suruga Bay.

Numazu Imperial Villa Memorial Park

Numazu Imperial Villa Memorial Park twas once used by the Imperial Family for their retreats built in the Meiji era (1868-1912). The historical building was used by he Taisho and Showa Emperors and is now designated as a national place of scenic beauty for its historical value and beautiful garden.
